Considering the tube is used as a mixer, it is important that the shield be
used as it is in all my RXs.  I am going to order something else in hopes
that will cure the problem.  I also notice the 6BY6 is an acceptable sub,
but don't know if it has the taller envelope or not.

For the longest time I wondered if my testers were bad.  I had a Hickok 600
before the current one and an I 377.  All them show most of the tubes low in
the range you mention.  Strange to me.
