No question. I've been shipping for about 12 years now. I used to be a UPS customer but I learned my lesson. FedEx has been a much better experience all around.

I feel your pain! Actually I have used FedEx for the last several years because they are between 30-40% cheaper than The Brown Truck Folks, they have never lost any package I have sent or received, and the biggie: They didn't lobby the FCC and steal 2 MHz of our 220MHz band, then not give it back when they found that the package tracking scheme would not work on that group of freqs. FedEx is my prefered shipper, even if they do increase rates. They will still be cheaper than UPS and they will be quicker, in most cases, too.

>FedEx sent me their annual letter of good cheer this week. FedEx and UPS work off of the same ICC rate card, so I suspect that this also applies to UPS. Anyway...
>Rates are up 5.5%
>Fuel surcharge is down 2% (making the net rate increase 3.5%)
>Residential delivery up from $2 to $2.10
>Saturday freight delivery up from $100 to a whopping $150
