[AMRadio] Audio Warble?

Hey Geoff,

I actually have this set up for SSB, but wanted to give AM a shot. I never
had this problem on SSB.

I would love to chat on 75M, but with my 40 watts (Icom IC-718 wide open on
AM) and no amplifier (the amp sets the house alarm off in PANIC mode), you
probably wouldn't even hear me.

I can't tell you how many hams had nothing other than a crystal element
D-104 microphone being run straight into a single 12AX7 as their first
speech stage.  And 99% of 'em sound good enough to hear on the air.

You certainly don't need -all- that, to be heard...
but I -would- like to hear you on the air on 75m, sometime.
