I downloaded a couple of articles yesterday without any difficulty. 

Being a member is required. Then you need to login to the site. If you do not provide your proper login credentials, it will behave as described.

Lee, I have been a LIFE MEMBER since 1973 and still can't download articles from QST. Yes, I know that they are unavailable after 2005.
