MFJ Items For Sale:
Dual Audio Filter, Antenna Tuner, DC Power
Distribution Strip, Speaker Mic, and Wall Warts
MFJ 752 Dual Audio Filter
The MFJ 752 is a dual tunable audio filter that permits
one to zero in on a single sideband and Morse code signal
and notch out interference at the same time. It can also
be used for AM mode shortwave listening. The primary filter
has tunable peak, notch, low pass and high pass. The
auxiliary filter has peak and notch. The filter is
automatically bypassed when the unit is off. Speaker and
phone jacks are provided.
It requires 9-15 VDC @300 ma.
Two of these units are available.
One is a plain 752. It works fine and looks good, but
not perfect. With paper work for $45.
The second is the 752 C. The C model has an LED that
lights when power is applied. There are other minor
cosmetic changes. This one works fine and looks very
close to perfect. With paper work for $65.
MFJ 949 C HF Antenna Tuner / Wattmeter / Dummy Load:
This HF antenna tuner is rated by MFJ to handle 300 Watts,
although I really feel the standard 100 Watt rig is pretty
much the limit. It has an SWR bridge built in, along with
a cross needle wattmeter that reads 300 W and 30 W full
scale. This means it will read forward power, reverse
power, and SWR simultaneously.
It also will handle two coax antennas, which can be used
direct, or thru the tuner. A balun is included, as is a
separate antenna switch position for use with open wire
line. It has an internal dummy load that MFJ rates at
300 Watts, but again, 100 W is the practical limit.
This one measure 51 ohms, so it could not be much more
This particular unit works fine, and looks good. I can
only find a very small scratch on the bottom that is not
normally visible. With paper work for $90.
MFJ 1118 Heavy Duty DC Power Distribution Strip:
The MFJ-1118 is a versatile, high-current deluxe
multiple DC power outlet. It lets you power two HF
and/or VHF transceivers and six or more accessories
from your transceiver's main 13 V DC power supply.
You get two pairs of super heavy duty 30 amp 5-way
binding posts for powering your transceivers. Each
pair is individually fused and RF bypassed, capable
of a total of 35 amps.
An LED indicates power "ON". Six pairs of heavy duty,
RF bypassed 5-way binding posts lets you power your
accessories. They handle a total of 15 amps and are
protected by a master fuse, have an ON/OFF power
switch and an LED power indicator.
You get 6 feet of super heavy eight gauge color-coded
cable with ring tongue terminals, plus a built-in
0 - 25 VDC monitor meter.
This one is like new. Buy it for only $60 with paper work.
MFJ-284 HT Speaker Microphone:
This speaker mic has the 3.5 mm and 2.5 mm plugs on
it, as used by Icom, Alinco, Radio Shack, some Yaesu,
and many other HTs.
It works with the following:
YAESU 109, 209, 709, 23, 73, 33, 727 and other YAESU
radios which are pin compatible with the above rigs.
ICOM 2AT, 02AT, 3AT, 03AT, 4AT, 04AT, 12AT, u2A, u2AT,
u4AT and other ICOM radios which are pin compatible
with the above rigs.
ALINCO DJ-560 and other ALINCO radios which are pin
compatible with the DJ-560
RADIO SHACK - most
It works great, and looks like new.
With paper work for $10.
"Wall Wart" Power Supplies:
All of these are "regular" wall warts - not the new
switching type that create all sort of noise in your
receiver. Use one of these, and leave the noise behind.
12 V DC at 625 ma
Many uses for the 12 volt variety! $14
Heathkit "Converter / Charger"
9 Volts DC at 100 ma.
No Heath number on this, and I don't know what it was used
on originally. It can be used either as a 9 Volt DC "power
pack" or as a charger. It has a 2.5 mm male plug on it, with
the tip positive, so it can be used on many devices. $10
9 Volt DC at 500 ma
This one was used on a MFJ 422 keyer, but will also power
other items needing 9 V DC at low current, including the
MFJ 752 audio filters above. It has a 2.5 mm male plug
on it, tip positive. $12
I also have many other accessories available such as many
different types of microphones, HTs, HF, VHF and UHF rigs, HF
and VHF/UHF antennas, etc.
Just too many to list here. Please e-mail your requests.
