|[AMRadio] AM Net on 7290 now|

Guys we are going to do this again next week and make it work out so that the lower
powered stations get more of a chance. I will send you more details if you are interested. E-
mail me off the list please. The idea of this net is to help encourage some AM and also give
the guys running less than 375 watts a chance to be heard too along with the tall ships.
(nothing wrong with 375 watts, BTW!)
So next Saturday we'll get on 7290 kHz to start up around 9 a.m. EST and chat with the tall
ship stations there for a while if we can be heard.
THEN at around 9:30 a.m. or shortly afterward, move down to 7280 kHz and continue on AM
mode for an hour or so, and see who we can pull in. THEN, in case anyone just has too
much difficulty being heard ove rthe noise, we can have a short net on 7270 LSB afterward.
This is for those who would enjoy briefly sharing ideas, updates on how they are improving
their AM signal - station updates and news etc.
I hope to soon have the dual 3-500Z amplifier connected and helping my 25 watt AM signal
and a new inverted vee which will help me put more RF into the ether than my current
antenna does. It's a ground mounted vertical with no radials (which does an enormous job on
evening and late night DXing, by the way!)
So again, if you are interested, drop me an e-mail off the list and we can make our plans and
possibly add a Sunday morning net for the sake of ole KX4TT, Lee in Tampa Bay.
