[AMRadio] AMRadio Digest, Vol 122, Issue 4

A few months ago someone posted an audio file called the box. It was recorded from a group of
hams from the 50's or 60's on AM. Does anyone know the URL for this? If you do would you please
post it again.
Thanks

Anyone know of a source for antenna connector such as you find in auto radio antennas?

It's generally called a Motorola plug.
Plug is MP-2
Jack is MJ-1
PL259 adapter to Motorola plug is AD-259

See:
http://www.kenselectronics.com/lists/rfca.htm
about half way down the page.
Some auto stores also carry them.
Radio Shack use to carry them.

Hi Mike et al,

I worked Paul also on 15 meters also today with a 5/8 signal.  I bet he
had that receiver on SSB most of the time as there were so many fellas
that called him via that mode.  Probably most of them didn't even know
he was transmitting AM.  But a great way to spread the AM word.  Nice of
Paul to have done that mode for us.

If it were me, the slopbucket would be unintelligible and I'd say so.
That would probably be the first time a W1AW operator uttered the word
slopbucket on the air.   I imagine they'd yank that call sign away
from me next day.
