I'd guess that already restored units are the way to go.  It's like old 
cars, where one can seldom recover resto costs unless dealing with a truly 
valuable ($100K+) car.  Yours are now likely parts donors.  So find some 
first class units and price them.  They'll be more than ordinary units, but 
you are entitled to have them clean and operative.  I'm not a real Halli 
guy, but the 99 should be easy and the 42 harder.  I hear the 42 is a bear 
to work on, so it's gonna be more if someone has put a lot of work into it. 
I have a nice SX-43 which has been nicely worked over, with the slightly 
hard to find matching speaker.  It's actually easy to work on.
