[Hallicrafters] Knifing a VFO Cap

Unless some butcher has been into the set it should not need it.
The only radio Ive been doing it to in decades is the HRO-500 as they have a
special end plate that you can fine adjust the readout linearity.

OTOH trying to do it to a BC style variable as used in Hallis with different
LO frequencies for every band can become a real nightmare.

Some capacitors have an adjustable end nut that can fine tune the plate
spacing which can shift over time. Ive had to do that with older Hammarlunds
before they went with BC style caps, and the Nationals with their own custom
built caps.
