[Hallicrafters] William Halligan Questions

Thank you Warren.

I authored the HHRP - Historic Halligan Radio Project and have a huge
collection of historic documents, articles and photos. Unfortunately, as a
journalist such as yourself knows, newspapers and magazines often disagree
when it comes to details.

I know when Bill Halligan, Sr. supposedly left MA for IL and I know when he
supposedly started Hallicrafters and the south Boston, MA Radio Shack store
with his partner Toby. But different accounts of the same event have
different dates! I am just trying to determine which of them is most apt to
be correct.

Thanks!

P.S. Your friend, and mine, WA4SOX, Bob H., had a heart attack last
November. I know that the doctors put a stint in. Bob is 'apparently' doing
fairly good, as he did attend the Orlando, FL Ham Fest. He thinks the world
of you, Warren. Give the OM a landline and make his month!

We all ought to know that Wikipedia is NOT reliable. I have serious doubts
about their version of the Radio Shack story.
All it takes is a log in, and you can write whatever you want on
Wikipedia...

We were forbidden as journalists to rely on it during my reporting career
with NEWS CORP.
