Date: Wed, 1 Feb 2017 23:02:38 +0000 Subject: [Hallicrafters] Preparation for pre-estate sale Message-ID: Checking to see if I can still post to the list before I offer my rather extensive Hallicrafters (and other manufacturer's) collections for sale. Vist www.qsl.net/k9tr for pictures from 1997, several pieces have been added since then. Virtually all visible on the web site will be available. Pricing will be well below current market due to the requirement of pickup only. I don't want to even think about attempting to ship a nice SX-115/HT32B/HT33A combination. Accessories (like a NOS PL-175 ceramic tube for the HT33A will likely be offered separately. Interested parties (after I post partial lists over the next few weeks) can reply to venchant at hotmail.com 73! You might check with Fair Radio and, maybe, Surplus Sales of Nebraska. I don't know why but, they seemed to deteriorate over time and just fall apart. Good luck in your quest. Ron K3PID From gharmon at idworld.net Tue Feb 28 17:53:39 2017 From: gharmon at idworld.net (Gary H. Harmon, Jr.) Date: Tue, 28 Feb 2017 16:53:39 -0600 Subject: [Hallicrafters] SX-115 Parts Message-ID: Around 4 years ago I bought a ravaged SX-115 off Craig's List for $60. Someone added a monitor scope to the front panel where the s-meter used to be. A white aftermarket s-meter was added to the other side of the front panel after cutting a nasty hole. The engineering work is something to see, at least part of it. I know the possibility of finding a junker are slim but I could use a s-meter. The panel can probably be restored to look normal. There are extra transformers, adjustments, holes, and who knows what else remains to be discovered. It will be an interesting project to try and get it somewhat back to normal. Best 73 to all.
